Casual Christmas Outfits

I only have one black tie event this Christmas and the rest of the time will be spent visiting family and friends, having casual drinks or cosy lunches with friends. As a result I don’t have many fancy outfits to buy and what I need more is casual looks that are smart enough to look festive
So the festive season is in full swing now. Hotel function rooms and restaurants are filled with dolled up ladies and smart looking gentlemen toasting this special time of year. However if you are anything like me you might not have that many fancy parties to attend to. I only have one black tie event this year and the rest of the time will be spent visiting family and friends, having casual drinks or cozy lunches with friends. As a result I don’t have many fancy outfits to buy and what I need more is casual looks that are smart enough to look festive. As Christmas can be an expensive period of time for many families I actually rummaged through my wardrobe and came up with a few festive casual outfit ideas put together from items I already had with zero expense. I encourage you to do the same. Look with a fresh perspective and a new festive goal and you’ll be surprised with what you can actually achieve.
1. Coated jeans, silk cami and jumper
This is a very simple outfit comprising of black coated jeans that I have been raving about for the past few weeks and a black jumper. I teamed them with a silk and lace cami and wore the jumper of the shoulder creating a more glamourous look. Its pretty yet incredibly simple

2. Coated jeans, silk cami and coatigan
This is simply another variation of previous look. I replaced the jumper with a coatigan. I think it is a perfect outfit if you are going out for a couple of drinks with friends or visiting some family. The coatigan is cozy and warm, it creates a flattering vertical line while silk and lace make the outfit festive a dressy enough for a cool chic look.
3. Maxi skirt and rib knit jumper
The reason I chose to feature the skirt again is because if its colour. The forest green feels wintery and festive. If you have anything in your wardrobe that is red, green or gold wear them as a nod to the season we’re in. Immediately your outfit will look more Christmassy and more thought out

4.
I have featured this dress in previous two videos where I teamed it with high heels as a perfect option for this time of year. This week I wanted to show true versatility of a dress like that and teamed it with simple boots and motto jacket for a modern cool and casual look. If you wear dresses for work this is a great way to adapt your favourite one for ‘drinks after work’

5.
Jeans with animal print blouse and boots
This is probably most casual look of them all but I am ticking a serious number of boxes here. The blouse is green (festive colour) it is animal print (seasonal trend) and wearing it with cut off jeans and boots in contrasting animal print. I imagine wearing that a festive lunch with some friends

6. Jeans with a blazer and t-shirt
I dressed up the same cut off jeans with a pair of heels and smartened up the look with a belted blazer. What makes this a perfect festive outfit is the Christmas t-shirt underneath.
